Monthly Archives: November 2008

DAY 1

Well we made it safely to Connecticut. I was definitely not prepared for the cold. My feet felt completely numb when we arrived, that I needed to stock up on some winter gear. Strangely enough, I think adjusted to the time difference pretty quickly. You can see from the photo below that I had great sleep and had some excellent bed hair to show for it!

It’s been awhile since I’ve been up early enough to see the sun rise. I must say it’s amazing and almost calming at the same time to watch. When we arrived to Connecticut, I was sad to see that all of the leaves had completely fallen off the trees. I guess I missed the fall colors by only a few weeks. I’m hoping to head to Boston and New York shortly. I sure love it there this time of year.  I’m off now to discover new places in my old home town.  I’ve made it my goal this time around to go places I haven’t been.  Note, the photo of the flower and plane were taken with my point and shoot.

UPDATE VIDEO STYLE

Where has the time gone? It’s almost the end of November and I am about ready to head back East for 2 weeks. This is just a quick video update and I plan on doing a few more videos of my travels in the next few days.  See you all then!

SPINNING

We just got back from Mark’s birthday dinner and decided to have some fun as we were leaving. People were skeptical about spinning on an escalator railing and I said i’ve seen it done before. Since it was Mark’s birthday, he wanted to try it. Here is a quick video that I recorded from my iPhone. Enjoy!

DON’T COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES

The title of this post can also go hand in hand with, “Make your bed”, “Clean up your toys” and “Eat your vegetables”. Now that the wedding season is officially over for the year, I’ve had more time for all of that. I’m not saying I’m a slob or a messy person, because I’m far from that. I’m always organized and a bit of a neat freak I must admit, but it happens when you’re busy. The past few days I have been spending late hours cleaning our pad and moving furniture around. Doesn’t it always feel great after you cleaned up everything? It’s almost the same feeling you get when you rearrange your furniture for a fresh look. We’ve made some additions to our place that makes it feel so cozy and all we’re missing is a fireplace and some marshmallows! Ok, I’m not sure where I’m going with all of this, but the one thing I know, is that I’m excited to be returning back to Connecticut next week and I’m looking forward to another fun year. This year went by so quickly and it’s great to take a step back and reflect. I’ve met all of my goals this year which I’m so proud of and I’ve already set my new goals for next year.

In other news, I’ve been on Twitter now for the past year and I love it. It’s the next best thing to my iPhone. If you’re not on it already, go sign up and click here to follow my twitter to see what I’m up to. I’m also on Facebook too, so make sure you add me as a friend.

Here is a sneak peek on the new textures in our place.

ON MY CHRISTMAS LIST PART 1

I know it’s a bit early to be asking Santa for some shiny new toys, but this is something that I must have. Of course everyone is familiar with a company called Polaroid, I’m sure you must have heard of them. Well they came out with the coolest thing, that I’m sure I’ll find tons of uses for. It will probably be the hottest christmas gift this year or a gift for any photo junkie. Meet Polaroid’s PoGo. You ask what it is? Well, it’s a printer that is hand sized, that can print 2×3 photos/stickers in about 60 seconds. You can print off of your cell phone via bluetooth, but not yet iPhone compatible and you can print off of any USB camera or laptop or computer. Another great thing is that it doesn’t use any ink cartridges. All of the developing is done on the actual photo paper. Think of it as the old Polaroid kicked up a notch in the digital age. I check on the paper pricing and you’re not going to believe how inexpensive it is. It’s about $12.99 for 30 sheets. From the demo’s I’ve seen online, the printing quality is pretty good and I’m sure it can only get better in the future. So, I’m looking forward to getting my hands on one and putting it through a trial run. The PoGo’s msrp is $99!
