CHING & JAMES : WEDDING AT THE PACIFIC PALMS RESORT

You might all recognize Ching & James from their engagement session in Harvard that I photographed back in April. Well, their long anticipated wedding day just happened this past Saturday and I’m still over joyed from their day. They were married at the beautiful Pacific Palms Resort, in the City of Industry, CA. As usual, I didn’t hold back on sharing a ton of photos from their glorious day.

QUYNH KHANG

Long before I even considered packing my bags, moving to California and pursuing a dream, my cousin Quynh was way ahead of me. Maybe that’s a family trait about being a “Khang”, we dream big and never take no for an answer! Quynh actually moved to California not for photography, but for acting. It’s been a passion of hers for many years now and I’m sure sooner or later, we’ll be seeing her face everywhere, so Hollywood look out! We photographed her headshots at one of my favorite places. And like me, she’s such a mixed bag, in a good way of course. You’ll see from the photos. There’s never a dull moment with Quynh. A special thanks also to Angelina of All Made Up, who once again did an amazing job on the hair and makeup.

TODAY I’LL TALK ABOUT..

nothing much really. I’ve been so busy with wedding stuff, that I haven’t had a chance to blog. Which reminds me that I photographed 2 beautiful weddings this weekend and I’ll be blogging those for sure this week!

Many of you have asked me how our new place is shaping up and well, I’m happy to report it is done! After many hours of painting and repainting, we settled on some normal, contemporary colors.

Wedding plans.. ah our wedding plans. If you didn’t know, I’ve been engaged to my beautiful fiance Helen now since last year. We’ve been trying to figure out where our wedding will be held. We’ve checked out a few locations in Connecticut, but I think we need to take another trip there to figure all this out. We’re looking at possibly having our wedding in the early fall time next year. I’ll keep you all updated.

I don’t know if the paint fumes really got to me, but Mr. Paint Tape Head wanted to let you all know, that his paint tape head was 6 times the size of the one in the photo when all of the painting was done. It’s such a waste of tape! And yes, this is what I like to wear when I paint.

HIDDEN CHATEAU AND GARDENS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY : GREG AND CINDY

Last week, I joined Jenny Smith to photograph a beautiful outdoor wedding at the Hidden Chateau and Gardens in Los Angeles. Jenny graciously allowed me to tag along and photograph this wedding mainly in film, but I decided to shoot some digital as well. I’m really looking forward to seeing the film stuff when it comes back from the lab. For now, here are some digital photographs from their wedding. Happy Friday!

UTTERLY ENGAGED LAUNCH PARTY AT TRANQUIL TEA LOUNGE

Better late than never is all that I could say right now. While looking though my various miscellaneous folders on my hard drive, I for some reason, forgot all about these detail photos that I took, while at the Utterly Engaged Launch Party back in July. If you missed it, you really did miss out. But that’s ok, you can read all about by CLICKING HERE. There were so many great people and great vendors at this party and I was so happy to meet most of them. Also, if you haven’t signed up to receive their free E-Zine, you need to do that asap! Here’s the link : E-Zine Subscribe. Here is just a few details that I took before the party kicked off.
