When I met with Jane and Edson for their engagement session, we had so much fun, running around The Camp in Costa Mesa. There are so many amazing spots to shoot around. We ended the day in a quiet field filled with tall grass and mountain backgrounds. Yes, that’s pretty typical Orange County. I’m really looking forward to their wedding in November! Here are a few of my favorites and you’ll see how fun these two are together!

JANE & EDSON : THE CAMP COSTA MESA IRVINE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
MY BLOG MILESTONE : 1000 COMMENTS!
When I first started blogging, my intentions were really just to share photos. I didn’t expect anyone to read my little blog or even care what I had to say or share. I was even excited when I saw that one random stranger left a comment, it actually made my day! See it doesn’t take to much to keep me happy!
I can’t even begin to tell you all, how much I appreciate all of your comments and love! My little blog just received it’s 1000 comment just a few days ago. I want to send a special thanks to all of the people that continue to read and follow my blog and leave comments. I always feel over joyed when I meet someone new and they tell me they read my blog or when I read all of the wonderful comments from family members or friends that attended a wedding that I photographed. I still think photos are the most important thing ever, to document our lives! So make sure you’re always taking them!
To celebrate this small blog milestone, Jenny Liu was actually my 1000 commenter and Jenny, you’ll be receiving a $20 gift card to iTunes, so check your email! See, it pays to comment!
Here’s a random awesome photo that I found while searching 1000 on Flickr. Photo credit : Marcin Mazurkiewicz

DENISE & RICH : SANTA MONICA ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
Last week, I photographed Denise and Rich’s engagement session, in Santa Monica. I’m really excited for their wedding on New Years Day, yup that means no partying for me, but it’s well worth it for these two. Here are the photos.

RAFFAELLA’S 1ST BIRTHDAY : CHARMING BACKYARD BIRTHDAY PARTY PHOTOS
Last weekend, our good friends Steve and Kay’s daughter Raffaella, turned 1. I can’t believe it’s been a year! As usual, Kay or as we would like to call her the Martha Stewart of Torrance, did an amazing job on the details. It was such a charming backyard birthday party. Just the closest of friends and family were there to celebrate. And this was the first time I have ever witnessed a 1 year old, not terrorize the birthday cake. Steve and Kay had to put Raffaella’s hands in the cake, for her to warm up to it. But it was such a fun time! Here are some of the fun details and photos from the party.

There were 5 weddings going on that day at The Hyatt, but I think our ladies got the most attention!

JACQUI & BRANDON : THE BRIARS INN DUNLEITH MISSISSIPPI WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
As you all know, I traveled last week to the small town of Natchez, Mississippi, to photograph a wedding with Tuan from Two One Studio. It was really my first time traveling to the south and now I can say, that I understand southern hospitality. Everyone there is so welcoming and friendly! I spent the morning with the guys while they were getting ready, while Tuan was with the girls. The wedding ceremony was held at The Dunleith and the wedding reception took place at The Briars. Here are some photos from this beautiful southern wedding. Be sure to checkout Tuan’s blog for more photos.
Jacqui nearly lost it when her mother veiled her.

FIRST DANCE : FILM
I just wanted to share a photo that I took from a wedding back in July. This was the couples first dance and I love the emotion in the photo. This was photographed in near darkness with Fuji Neopan 1600 film. There’s something so timeless about film isn’t there?
