Well we’re finally back home from our lovely trip to the Caribbean’s, thanks all for the warm travel wishes! As much as I love being away and relaxing, there’s no place like home! I’m finally able to catch up on some much needed blogging, which I will be sharing more photos from our trip in the coming week.
Today though, I wanted to share with you all, a big milestone in our lives. Our trip also, was to celebrate our decade together. Can you believe that? 10 years is just amazing in my eyes and I’m sure it will be for many also. The phrase growing old together had little or no meaning to me before I met Helen. I actually thought I would probably be single my whole life, judging from my previous relationships. I guess fate is funny that way. We met over Chinese food, literally. Helen and I both worked at my uncles Chinese restaurant in Connecticut, but on different days. It wasn’t until she changed her schedule to work weekends, that fate had us meet. I thought she was playing hard to get, but really she wasn’t interested. Ok, so I was bad at reading signs, but me being my persistent self, finally asked her out on a non-official date. Luckily, she said yes and the rest is history!
The last 10 years has gone by so quickly. I think that when you meet the right person, you love them more and more each day and you always feel like you never have enough time in the world together. Helen, my other half, simply put without you, I’m not whole. You’ve been my constant strength and support over the years. I can’t tell you enough each day, that I love you very much and I’m looking forward to see what life has in store for us, in the years to come. Here’s to us!

jenberry - congratulations. that’s so beautiful. really. i know that feeling more and more (after 7 years). there really is nothing like it. when i first met you, i could tell that you had that feeling for Helen (even though i don’t really know her). the mention of her, brought a very calm assured reaction from you. awesomeness.
