I know you’ve been seeing a lot of my niece Hayden on the blog, but get used to it! I can’t even describe how happy it makes me feel to spend time with her and see her smile. This past October we spent a fun afternoon at The Riverview Farms pumpkin patch in Glastonbury, CT and it was the first time that Hayden and I experienced a hayride!

But I’m dedicating this post to some personal things going on in my life. One being that my friend Scott and his wife Tammy have a cute baby boy named Brycen that just turned 1. Scott and I go way back, way way back. Our families were all close and we all grew up together as kids. I was trying to find an embarrassing photo of us, but sadly I couldn’t find one. Anyhow, I was excited to be there in Connecticut celebrating Brycen’s 1st birthday and I decided to bring my new toy, the Contax 645 and some film. You’ve probably heard others say how amazing medium format film is and I understand why now. The colors from film are just so incredible, not to mention that I just love the crop more. Here are some photos that I shot all on film with my Contax 645, Kodak Portra 400 and Fuji 400h, developed and scanned at Richard Photo Lab. You’ll also notice some photos of my adorable niece Hayden, napping like her uncle Brian.
