Well.. we’re back! Happily and finally married! Back in California and still flying high on cloud nine after our crazy trip back to Connecticut, for our wedding! I will have to be honest and say that with all of the crazy planning and stressed out days and nights, it was all worth it! To have our closest family and friends there for our wedding, minus a few that we wished could have made it and sadly missed, it was an amazing night! We’ve never really felt such an overwhelming and genuine love for the two of us in our whole lives, it was truly one of those experiences that you’ll never ever forget! So much so that we didn’t want the day to ever end!

I want to thank all of our over the top amazing vendors that made our day possible and our friends and family that helped throughout the day. We love you all! And I can’t forget my clients that have been so patient and understanding throughout our processes, thank you! The warm congrats on Facebook and Twitter have been such a joy to read, thank you all for those as well!

So it’s back to blogging for me! I’ll have so much to share in the weeks to come, including personal photos from Boston and Connecticut and engagement sessions and weddings that I photographed. And of course hopefully our wedding video and photos!

I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of this on the blog, so get used to it! “The First” ice cream cone we shared as Mr. and Mrs. Photographed at Ben & Jerry’s in West Hartford, Connecticut, June 21st, 2010. Fuji Instax Camera. Phish Food and Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream on a waffle cone!

I am finally marrying my best friend in June. It’s hard to believe that Helen and I had our first date 11 years ago on this day. Never ever in my life, would I have imagined how wonderful my life is today. To have someone that’s always there for me, who absolutely loves me unconditionally. She honestly pushes me to be the best that I can be and I always push myself to be the best for her. I get choked up still when I think about us and how far we’ve come together. And how I’m truly the luckiest guy, that gets to spend every waking moment with her.

Helen, from every strand in my heart, I truly truly love you and everyday I fall more in love with you. We’ve been through the worst of times and the best of times together and through it all, I somehow found you, there, just there to talk, to let me know that it will all be ok, to celebrate together or cry together, you’ve always told me that you loved me and honestly, that was all that mattered. I want to grow old with you and be happy and in love as your grandparents were. I celebrate you today Helen and how amazing you are just being you and I celebrate us today and the life long journey that we have just begun. Cheers to us and many more amazing years to come! I love you.

Here are some photos of us from over the years.. and yes, the first space is blank.

I’m sitting in my office now and it’s a little after 7:00 PM. I thought about this all of yesterday and into this morning. What will I write about today? This morning as I was planning out my day, I thought to myself, “Today is just such a crazy busy day today, because tomorrow I’ll be photographing a wedding and there will be much prepping that needs to be done, so I can skip a day and not write”. But as the day progressed and more of my to do’s were getting checked off, the guilt of not writing started to kick in, like Bruce Lee just landed a kick to my stomach and “Whaaaaing” away, as he goes in for the final blow!

Maybe it’s just the fear or guilt of not completing what I set out to accomplish. I’m sure most can attest that it’s pretty normal to feel that way. Either that or I’m just an overachiever or would like to thinks so anyways. Happy Friday!

Obviously I didn’t take this photo, but if I did, my cool points would be off the charts!

It was the spring of 1999. I was in the kitchen making myself a PB&J, peanut butter and jelly for those who don’t know and Helen which at the time, I just started dating. Helen noticed something about me that day. And it was just the smallest, simplest thing, that somehow even fate new, would forever bond our lives together. Yes, we shared the love of crustless bread!

It really is the smallest, simplest indulgences in life that we love and appreciate so much! Some even told us back then that “WE” would never work, but we always had our crustless bread to prove them wrong. Now we just need to find something to do with all this crust! Any suggestions?
