JERRY AND ANH : KYOTO GRAND HOTEL AND GARDENS LOS ANGELES WEDDING

He came to the door and tried to bribe his way in with fruit! That’s when I knew that Jerry and Anh’s wedding has officially begun! What’s customary for most Chinese weddings are either door games or bribing the door guards with lucky envelopes full of money. Which ultimately was what Jerry needed to do to get in, instead of fruit. When Jerry finally saw Anh as she was announced and brought in, they couldn’t do anything really but just uncontrollably smile at one another in joy and excitement! And I can say the same thing during their fist look as well at the Kyoto Grand Hotel in Los Angeles. Pink details flowed throughout their wedding, which was simple and elegant! Including a delicious cotton candy machine! Anh’s wedding dresses were all custom made as well and amazing! All created by L’Atelier!

Jerry and Anh, I’m still so uncontrollably happy for you both and I wish you both all the best! Congratulations again!

FILM : YALE UNIVERSITY

The day before the wedding, we ventured out to Yale University, where the wedding in Connecticut was going to be held. I have to say that I’m in love with New Haven and the Yale University campus. The architecture and history there is amazing! The only thing that I was sad about, was that Louis’ Lunch was closed for the month. They are where the first hamburger was created! Even living in Connecticut all of those years, I still haven’t tried it. I guess fate wasn’t on my side on this trip, but I’m sure I’ll be back to give it a try!

FILM : THE MANSIONS AT NEWPORT, RI

At the end of our trip to Newport, RI, we heard through the grapevine, that when you visit here, you just have to checkout the mansions. So the first thing that came to mind was, google it, because we had no idea where it was. Not realizing that it was literally down the street from where we parked! So we headed down to checkout what everyone was talking about and I must say, although it was at the end of the day and we couldn’t really get the full tour, the area with all the mansions was pretty impressive! Some mansions were still occupied to this day too! Which must be strange now that I think about it, to have random strangers take pictures of your house. But I’m sure they’re used to it by now.

Maybe it was the idea of seeing sailboats, eating seafood by the docks and wearing my favorite Sperry Top Sliders and Jcrew attire, that brought me to the small town of Newport, RI. I always feel right at home in New England when I wanna dress it up and wear my bowties and seer suckers. I kinda laugh at myself though, thinking that I lived in New England all of those 20 some-odd years and never really played the tourist card and explored. It’s funny now that when I come back to my home town of Connecticut, I wanna see it all! And eat it all!

I decided to capture most of my travel photos back East on film. All of my film was of course developed at Richard Photo Lab. They are just so amazing at what they do. I absolutely did nothing on these photos, besides just shoot them.

ERIC AND JESS : SUMMIT HOUSE FULLERTON CALIFORNIA WEDDING

You all might have remembered Eric and Jess from their engagement session that I photographed in Pasadena, CA a few months back. Well, they were recently married at The Summit House in Fullerton, CA. Eric and Jess are two of the most genuine and fun people that I have ever met. Their day was filled with so much laughter and lovely DIY details! Not to mention, their friends and family didn’t waste a single minute of the wedding not dancing! You gotta love a group of people that knows how to have fun! Eric and Jess, congratulations again!

NATHANIEL AND PAIGE : CLAREMONT CALIFORNIA ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Nathaniel and Paige are getting married this coming weekend at Trump National in Palos Verdes, CA. A few weeks back, I photographed their engagement session where they first met back in college in Claremont, CA. I must say, Claremont, has that same small town charming feel, like back home in Connecticut. The light that day was simply amazing and Nathaniel and Paige were definitely styling! So much so, that a random women that was just driving by decided to stop, just to make sure I was photographing her shoes! We were definitely surprised that the women spotted Paige’s Christian Louboutin’s from a mile a way! I can’t wait for their wedding this weekend, I know it’s going to be fun and stylish!

SHUI AND CARINA : THE CITY CLUB LOS ANGELES WEDDING

I’m kicking this week off and a month from not blogging off, with Shui and Carina, who were recently married in downtown Los Angeles. It was an intimate and beautiful wedding ceremony at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, followed by the reception at The City Club on Bunker Hill. My most favorite thing about this wedding, was actually photographing the joy and emotions from their parents. You can just see it on their faces how proud of parents they are and how happy they are on Shui and Carina’s day. Congratulations again Shui and Carina!
