On this beautiful friday in Orange County, I decided I was long overdue for a walk. Before you send me hate mail and say that everyday in Orange County is beautiful, well I can’t argue with that, but I’m saying .. ok never mind you win, I have no come back.
Anyhow, while cleaning out my camera bag for last weeks wedding, I needed to make space, which means I had to take stuff out that I wouldn’t or don’t use anymore like my Lens Baby lens. I actually don’t think I’ve used it at all at a wedding. It’s just so tricky to use, but I know when used right, you can get some decent photos. So on my walk today, I brought my camera and Lens Baby with me, so I can share with you my trippy walk around my neighborhood.
So do you think I should keep this lens around or should I retire it? Maybe I’ll just keep it around for when I’m bored and want to shoot trippy photos. So here is what I came up with today, oh and this is the old version 2.0 model that is a few years old. Have a great weekend!
WARNING DO NOT LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS BELOW AND DRIVE, CAN CAUSE SEVERE DIZZINESS.

Heidi Ryder - You should trade that one in for the newer model. I got to play with it at WPPI and it was so easy to use and so much fun!
Lawrence@tofurious - woah
jenberry - keep it. looks like the tilt shift. I’ve used the lens baby and the tilt shift both are difficult to master, but you look like you have a good grasp on it. I like how it turns something ordinary into a miniature art piece. i love the mailbox and the fire hydrant. you obviously have good control of the tilt and the focus.
moe...!!! - lensbaby 3g is the way to go man! not sure if it’s ideal for weddings, but you could definitely rock it at an e-session. i personally like the look of tilt-shift and this lens can do the job w/o dropping a grand on an actual t/s lens (although you can do the same effect w/ photoshop)! i’d keep it…who knows, your style may change and you’ll end up only using it at weddings!!
Amy - These are rad. Lens babies are so fun!
SimplyModernWeddings - I probably shouldn’t looks at after drinking wine either….but they are rad!
Lori Anderson - Cute stuff. Irvine has so many great little nooks and scenery to photograph. And it’s fun to see photographers rock the Lensbaby. I don’t use mine as often as I should.
