I want to state first before you read this, that I don’t always eat this unhealthy. Occasionally, I’ll treat myself to something bad for you, but that doesn’t come with regret, sadness and lots of sit ups! Please continue!
You’re reading the title and thinking, “Really? A 20 year craving?”. Well it’s true or at least it felt like it’s been 20 years since I’ve heard about Roscoe’s. Now give the deprived Connecticut boy some slack. I don’t know the origins from where I heard about it. I’m thinking most likely it was from a movie, but after such a long, long craving, I finally ate at Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles on January 2nd, 2010! I’m going to say that it was well worth the wait! It was like my taste buds woke up and said “WOW!, can we do that again?” I hope that’s what they said or maybe they were thinking, “Well you waited this long, I’m going to just tell you it’s good!”
Now that this part of my life experience is over, now what? “White Castle”? Does it really end? The fascinations of experiences we have yet to try? It seems at most times, a vicious cycle of our lives. But without these cravings for experiences, won’t life be boring? My choice? Chase the experience, even if that means waiting to taste Chicken and Waffles!
I think this story is so much better with a photo! And I’m sorry if you are reading this and are hungry!

Alice Hu - Congrats Brian, totally worth the wait right?
David Leung - Roscoes is awesome. But if you like BBQ and haven’t tried http://www.babyblueswh.com/#/home , go try it! One of the the best tasting, big portioned places I know.
Amanda Patrice - Next time you have to try the scrambled eggs with cheese and onions…. I know it doesn’t sound special, but trust me…. they are the best eggs you will EVER eat. I swear.
cindee bae - I was hungry before the post, now I’m officially starving.. lol!
Jenny - Which Roscoe’s did you go to? I was told there are differences in the chain stores. Welcome to the wonderful land of chicken and waffles ! and yes, I am getting hungry….

@david – yup, that’s one of my favorite bbq places in LA. I feel though sometimes it’s a hit or miss. Somedays are better than others?

@cindee – sorry
@jenny – it was the one in Long Beach. That place is huge!
