This past weekend, I photographed Shirley and Tung at The Getty Villa in Malibu. It was a perfect day for an engagement session and I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding next month! We had such gorgeous light all day there and here are some photos to prove it!

JENNIE + HOWARD : LA ARTS DISTRICT GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS

They first met at a non-profit event or was it golf or was it dinner? I guess you can say, it was all of the above. Jennie and Howard met at a non-profit event, later finding out that they both shared the love of golf. Howard asked Jennie to play golf with a few of his friends, since they needed a forth and one of his friends couldn’t make it out. Awkwardly thinking, Jennie passed, since she didn’t know anyone there that was playing golf. Hours later, Jennie gets a call from Howard asking her out to dinner the same night. But this time Jennie said yes. Over dinner they talked about everything. The dinner ended up lasting 3 hours and well, the rest is history.

ARNOLD AND BRANDY : SOUTH COAST WINERY TEMECULA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Arnold and Brandy were recently married at the beautiful South Coast Winery in Temecula, CA. Surrounded by their family and friends, they celebrated, laughed and danced under the moonlight. CHENDAL AND GEOFFREY : TRADITIONAL CAMBODIAN WEDDING CEREMONY PHOTOS

I have so much to share and so much to blog, but what better way to kick things off, then with Chendal and Geoffrey’s wedding. They had 2 separate beautiful ceremonies, so I only felt it was right to blog them individually. We’ll start with the morning ceremony, which was dedicated to the Cambodian tradition and culture. If you haven’t attended a Cambodian wedding ceremony before, I do hope you get to be a part of one. It’s so full of colors from the various outfits and emotional from the different parts of the ceremony. You definitely don’t have to understand the language, to understand the significance. There were so many key parts of the day, that I tried not to leave any parts out. Stay tuned for party 2 of their wedding, which was held at the beautiful Turnip Rose in Newport Beach.
It was a foggy morning that day, but it didn’t take away from the day at all.

There is a meaning behind pretending to cut the bride and grooms hair. But someone actually cut Geoffrey’s hair and you can see it on his sleeve.
